The Atlanta Dream added another piece of the puzzle on Wednesday when they acquired veteran forward Swin Cash from the Chicago Sky in exchange for Courtney Clements. The two teams will also swap draft picks in 2015.

Cash is entering her 13th season in the WNBA and spent the last two seasons with the Sky. She averaged 9.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in 34 games last season. She helped Chicago capture the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs in 2013.

Clements appeared in 26 games with the Dream in 2013 and averaged 9.3 minutes and 2.2 points per game.

Cash has ample statistical accomplishments in her career but also brings championship experience having won three titles during her career. Her last came with the Seattle Storm in 2010 when they defeated the Dream in the WNBA Finals.

"We are thrilled to add an outstanding player like Swin to our roster," said Dream Executive Vice President and General Manager Angela Taylor. "Her accomplishments in basketball speak for themselves. She has consistently been an exceptional all-around player who can beat you several different ways. She also has a championship pedigree, having won titles as a collegian, as a professional and as a member of USA Basketball. She will be a tremendous asset to our team and gives us another piece to the puzzle as we continue to strive for a WNBA Championship."

The Dream will play an exhibition game on Sunday at Philips Arena. They will open the regular season at home on Friday, May 16 against the San Antonio Stars.
