In the midst of "workout season" for NBA Draft prospects, there is a report circulating that the Atlanta Hawks have summoned an interesting player to Atlanta for a closer look, and that player is NC State forward T.J. Warren.
T.J. Warren will work out with Atlanta tomorrow, Boston on June 3 and Phoenix on June 5.

The 6-foot-8 Warren is currently listed as the 17th-ranked player on our Peachtree Hoops big board, and he is projected as the 24th selection (to the Charlotte Hornets) by ESPN and as the 18th selection (by Draft Express) to the Phoenix Suns in two recent mock drafts. After a breakout season in which he led the ACC in scoring at 24.9 points per game as a sophomore, Warren shot up NBA Draft boards, but he has largely been kept out of lottery consideration for fear that he lacks a defined position in the NBA.
Still, the Hawks are in desperate need of help at the forward position, and Warren will almost assuredly be able to score from the moment he sets foot in the NBA. There is some concern about whether he can defend right away (a sure-fire worry for Atlanta), but Warren seems to be a relatively safe bet to succeed in some role in the league.
