The Atlanta Dream wrapped up their 2014 preseason slate with a 63-58 win over the New York Liberty Sunday afternoon at Philips Arena. The game was the final showcase for several players still vying for a spot on the regular season roster.

Atlanta seized control of the game with a big third quarter where they outscored New York 17-6 to take a 50-38 lead into the fourth. Neither team shot the ball well and the Dream win despite shooting just 32 percent from the field for the game.

Tiffany Hayes led the Dream with 14 points on 4-12 shooting to go along with four rebounds and three assists. Erika de Souza added 10 points and seven rebounds while rookie Shoni Schimmel added eight points and four assists. Chucky Jeffery led the Liberty with 12 points while DeLisha Milton finished with 11.

Swin Cash made her debut in an Atlanta Dream uniform and finished with seven points and four rebounds in just over 20 minutes. Point guard Samanta Prahalis was solid off the bench for the Dream as she finished with six points and three steals in 13 minutes.

New Dream head coach Michael Cooper played 13 different players in the game. Cooper indicated earlier this week that team wouldn't make final cuts until after Sunday's preseason game. Atlanta is still awaiting the arrival of core players Angel McCoughtry, Sancho Lyttle and new addition Celine Dumerc who are wrapping up their obligations to their European teams.
