NBA Playoff Picture: Knicks fall to Heat, Hawks 3 up in loss column

The New York Knicks fell to the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon and saw their playoff hopes take another hit.

LeBron James finished with 38 points as the Miami Heat handed the New York Knicks a 102-91 loss on Sunday afternoon. The Knicks fall 1.5 games behind the Hawks who play in Indiana later tonight and are three back in the loss column. J.R. Smith led the Knicks with 32 points.

New York doesn't have another game until Friday when they travel to Toronto to take on the Raptors. Atlanta plays a couple of non-playoff teams in Detroit and Boston on Tuesday and Wednesday so they have the opportunity to put New York further back.
