Washington is trying to keep pace with the Brooklyn Nets while the Knicks and Hawks are fighting for their playoff lives. The Cavaliers are three back of the Hawks in the loss column but have a favorable schedule the rest of the way and could inch closer tonight with a win at Philips Arena.
The Wizards have won both regular season meetings with the Knicks and are 5-5 over their last 10 games. They defeated the Boston Celtics 118-92 on Wednesday behind 22 points and eight rebounds from Marcin Gortat. The Knicks have won seven of 10 and hammered Brooklyn 110-81 also on Wednesday. Tip off from Madison Square Garden is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen via NBA League Pass.
