The Atlanta Hawks have 23 games left in the regular season including Friday night's matchup against the Golden State Warriors. Despite losing 12 of their last 13 games, the Hawks still have a three-game lead for the final playoff spot over the Pistons and a 3.5 game lead over the Cavaliers.

Here is a closer look at the standings:

Team W L GB
7. Charlotte Bobcats 28 33 18.0
8. Atlanta Hawks 26 33 19.0
9. Detroit Pistons 24 37 22.0
10. Cleveland Cavaliers 24 38 22.5

The Hawks have 13 remaining home games where they have gone 17-11. Of their 23 games remaining, 13 are against teams that would be in the playoffs.

Here is a look at Atlanta's schedule coming up:

Finishing in the 7th or 8th spot isn't exactly an ideal situation for the Hawks. However, they may have little chance of anyone currently outside the playoff picture overtaking them. Over the last 10 games, Atlanta has lost exactly one game in the standings to the Pistons. Cleveland had a recent six-game winning streak but have now lost two straight and are just 5-5 over their last 10 games.
