Kyle Korver injury: Hawks sharpshooter reportedly out again in Minnesota

The Atlanta Hawks will be without Kyle Korver for the fourth consecutive game when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

For the fourth consecutive game, Mike Budenholzer and the Atlanta Hawks will reportedly be without the services of sharpshooting swingman Kyle Korver when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Korver did not travel with the team to Minnesota on Tuesday, and as a result, he will be unavailable.

Atlanta fell to 1-6 without Korver in the lineup this season when they dropped a home decision to the Phoenix Suns on Monday, and this isn't exactly encouraging news in a game that the Hawks need to win. Shelvin Mack has received the start in the previous three games, but Lou Williams stepped up his play significantly on Monday and could see additional time as a result.

Korver's absence has certainly been felt on the offensive end, where his league-leading 3-point shooting proficiency always helps in floor spacing, but the defensive end has been the bigger issue, and against guys like Kevin Martin on Wednesday, it will be a tall task. The Hawks return home for a game against Portland on Thursday, but it remains to be seen if Korver will be available by that time.

Stay tuned.
