Mike Muscala and Rio Natura Monbus continue to roll on the Liga Endesa after they extended their season-best winning streak to five games with a 89-72 win over FIATC Mutua Joventut.
Alberto Corbacho led Monbus with 24 points but Muscala had an interesting night. He scored 15 points on a perfect 7-7 shooting including a made three-pointer. However, he failed to grab a single rebound before fouling out in 21 minutes. Muscala still leads the league in rebounding at 7.75 per game.
Monbus is now 9-11 on the season and in 11th place overall in the Liga Endesa standings. They are however just one game back of a pair of teams that are tied for seventh.
Lucas Nogueira has in fact made his way back to Spain but has not yet returned to action for Estudiantes. Peachtree Hoops' Jason Walker showed off his Spanish skills earlier this week to confirm that the big man had in fact made his way back across the ocean.
@JasonWalkerSBN He's back to @ClubEstudiantes in Spain. Still waiting for his return to playing time.

When Nogueira departed Estudiantes the club signed Slovenian center Uros Slokar to replace him on the roster. Slokar's contract was set to expire last week but he was given an extension through the remainder of the season. So Estudiantes will have a roster move to make before Nogueira can get back on the court. They fell to 5-15 on the season with a 76-62 loss to Herbalife Gran Canaria.
