Atlanta Hawks center Gustavo Ayon will miss a couple more games according to the AJC's Chris Vivlamore.

According to Vivlamore, Ayon was examined by a doctor and had an MRI exam. He is described as being on the "rest and recovery track" although his exact injury is never reported.

Atlanta is severely shorthanded at the center position with Elton Brand the only healthy option. Brand played over 34 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Wizards and finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Ayon has battled a variety of injuries this season and has appeared in 26 games while averaging 4.3 points and 4.8 rebounds. He has made 14 starts on the season. Ayon stepped in as the team's starting center after Pero Antic suffered a stress fracture in his ankle in London against Brooklyn.
