Austin Spurs knock off Mike Muscala, Fort Wayne Mad Ants

Mike Muscala finished with 15 points and seven rebounds in a 106-93 loss by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants to the Austin Spurs.

MIke Muscala got some valuable court time on Sunday for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in a 106-93 loss to the Austin Spurs. Fort Wayne was forced to play catchup early after being outscored 37-13 in the first quarter.

Muscala started and played 32 minutes finishing with 15 points and seven rebounds. He was 7-12 from the field and hit his only free throw attempt.

The Mad Ants were led by Andre Emmett who finished with 21 points. Charlotte's Noah Vonleh and Toronto's Bruno Caboclo played limited minutes in the loss. Vonleh finished with 12 points in 16 minutes while Caboclo went scoreless. Washington's Glen Rice Jr. was a DNP-CD for the Mad Ants.

JaMychal Green led the Spurs with 23 points while Orlando Johnson added 19. Austin improves to 11-4 on the season while Fort Wayne falls to 8-9.

Muscala is likely to be recalled by the Hawks unless the team decides to leave him in the D-League for a little more playing time. The Mad Ants host Oklahoma City on Tuesday while the Hawks will take on the Cavaliers at Philips Arena.
