Clippers vs Hawks: Jeff Teague probable, Pero Antic questionable

The Atlanta Hawks will likely get Jeff Teague back from injury on Tuesday night, but the team could be without another rotational piece.

The Atlanta Hawks have been doing fantastic work in recent days, and for the past three games, that positive effort has come with starting point guard Jeff Teague on the sideline. However, it appears that Teague will return from a hamstring strain on Tuesday evening, as the team lists him as "probable" on the Pregame injury report.

Unfortunately for the Hawks, there is a possibility that the roster could still be operating at less than full strength, with the same report listing Pero Antic as "questionable", due to an ankle sprain. The return of Teague is certainly encouraging, although the team has performed quite well under the leadership of Dennis Schröder and Shelvin Mack in recent days. Teague is Atlanta's leading scorer at 16.8 points per game for the season, and the point guard also paces the team in assists at 7.0 per contest.

The absence of Antic could be crucial if he is unable to go, as the Clippers boast a roving rim protector in DeAndre Jordan. Antic's ability to stretch the floor could be useful in getting Jordan to vacate the paint, and if he cannot play, Mike Budenholzer could turn to some combination of Elton Brand and Mike Muscala in his place.

Stay tuned.
