Hawks vs Pacers: John Jenkins, Adreian Payne inactive against Pacers

The Atlanta Hawks have chosen to deactivate John Jenkins, in addition to the injured Adreian Payne, for the game against the Indiana Pacers.

The Atlanta Hawks began the season with Adreian Payne and John Jenkins as the inactives against the Toronto Raptors, and while we were certain that one of the two would be on the inactive list for the home opener against Indiana, there was some uncertainty about the other spot. Now, we have clarification, as Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that it will be the same duo of players for Saturday night.

Payne, Atlanta's first round pick from the 2014 NBA Draft, is currently suffering from plantar fasciitis in his left foot, and the team previously announced his absence for Saturday's game. In the case of Jenkins, this is anything but a surprise, as it has become generally acceptable that he remains the "odd man out" among the stable of perimeter players for this season's Hawks team.

The Hawks and Pacers will tip-off at 7:30 pm ET, and the full preview for Saturday's game can be found here.
