Add former Memphis Grizzlies CEO Jason Levien to the list of potential buyers for the Atlanta Hawks. Levien is interested in putting together a group to buy the Hawks according to a report by Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Rumor mill is saying that former Griz CEO Jason Levien is trying to put together a group to buy the Atlanta Hawks

Tillery cites the rumor mill in his report so that should be taken into account. Levien was once a prominent figure within the Grizzlies front office before owner Robert Pera became more involved with the day to day operations of the team. Purchasing the Hawks could be a way to get Levien back into the NBA game.
Atlanta officials have indicated a lot of interest from potential buyers but not many of those groups have become public. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed previously said that he hoped to have a new owner in place by the first of the year.
