The Atlanta Hawks announced on Tuesday that they have requested waivers on Dexter Pittman and Jarell Eddie. Pittman and Eddie were the only players invited to training camp by the Hawks. Both played sparingly during the preseason.

Atlanta's roster was pretty much set heading into the preseason. The Hawks have 14 players under contract with fully guaranteed deals. Mike Muscala's deal with the club is partially guaranteed but he has had a good preseason and will be a part of the regular season roster.

Eddie and Pittman were DNP-CD's in Monday's overtime win over the Charlotte Hornets. Eddie appeared in three games for the Hawks averaging 2.7 points per game. Pittman saw action in just one preseason game and finished with two points and two rebounds.

Atlanta will wrap up its preseason schedule on Wednesday when they travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs. The Hawks will open the regular season against the Toronto Raptors on October 29.
