Hawks vs. Bulls Final Score: Chicago rallies late against Atlanta bench

Having flashbacks? The Bulls beat the Hawks on a buzzer beater and all I got was this lousy recap.

Jonathan Daniel

The Atlanta Hawks carried a big lead late in the game but lost it late, losing to the Bulls 85-84. Joakim Noah, Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol all played over 27 minutes including late game rally minutes for the home team. Dennis Schröder hit what looked to be the game winner for the Hawks with 1.5 seconds left but Butler hit a three at the buzzer to send the home crowd home happy, and their head coach, too.

Hopefully the Hawks can get the buzzer beating losses out of the way in the exhibition season. It's a bold new strategy that I am totally onboard with this as long as it spares us similar pain in the regular season,

We tweeted in the third quarter, when the Hawks were up almost 20, that we would surely jinx them by chiming in on Twitter. Mission accomplished.

Dennis Schröder led the Hawks with 27 minutes played, but Al Horford, Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll all played less than 18 minutes. Mike Scott led the way with 15 points. Schröder had eight assists and three turnovers.
