Hawks vs Bulls preview: Atlanta's preseason road trip continues in Chicago

The Atlanta Hawks wrap up a three-game preseason road trip Thursday night with a matchup against the Chicago Bulls.

The preseason slate winds on for the Atlanta Hawks Thursday night as they wrap up a three-game road trip with the Chicago Bulls. Atlanta has gone 2-1 so far during the exhibition season and are coming off of Tuesday's 109-103 win over Miami.

The Hawks overcame an early 19-point deficit against the Heat and rallied for the victory. Perhaps the most important thing to take from the game was that they had their full compliment of players available for the first time during the preseason. Al Horford, Kent Bazemore and Pero Antic all made their preseason debuts. For Horford, it was his first action since suffering a torn pectoral muscle last December. No word yet on who will or won't suit up against the Bulls.

Chicago has gone 2-2 this preseason with losses to Washington and Detroit and wins over Milwaukee and Denver. They defeated the Nuggets 110-90 on Monday behind 21 points from Jimmy Butler.

More important than wins and losses for the Bulls is getting healthy and staying that way for the regular season. Derrick Rose is back for the Bulls and they are still getting new addition Pau Gasol acclimated to the lineup. Chicago looks like a deep team and one that will be capable of challenging for the top of the Eastern Conference standings again this season.
