When Wednesday's game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Detroit Pistons was postponed due to the crazy weather debacle in Atlanta, it was very uncertain as to when the two teams would get together to make up the game. Now, the NBA has quickly shed some light on the situation.
The Hawks-Pistons game that was postponed yesterday has been rescheduled for April 8 at Phillips Arena, NBA announces.

The league announced that Detroit will visit Atlanta on Tuesday, April 8 (tip-off is set for 7:30 pm ET) in order to make up the missed game, and the new date makes some sense for both teams. The Hawks were previously scheduled to host the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, April 9, but with days open before and after that game, the league didn't have to present Atlanta with a back-to-back situation. On the side of Detroit, the Pistons will now travel South after they host Boston on April 5 (synergy!) and they will also be on a back-to-back situation, traveling to Cleveland for a game on April 9.
It is encouraging to see the league acting quickly on this issue in order to allow both teams to address things in their future plans, and Hawks fans now have more than two months to prepare for Josh Smith's second return to town.
