Carroll will also sit out Saturday's matchup in Milwaukee. He is aiming to return in time for Monday's game against Oklahoma City.
Carroll suffered the injury in Wednesday's win over the Orlando Magic. He originally left the game during the first half but returned at the start of the third quarter. He was later lifted for good.
Carroll has emerged as an important piece of the puzzle for the Hawks. He's appeared in 38 games with Atlanta this season and is averaging 9.7 points and 5.6 rebounds.
