Atlanta Hawks guard Kyle Korver is among 28 players selected by USA Basketball for its initial Men's National Team roster for the 2014 World Championships and 2016 Olympics.
"It's an honor to have the opportunity to represent my country," Korver said. "I'm excited to be a part of the national team program and will be ready to compete this summer."
Korver will participate in training camp this summer before the roster is paired down for the FIBA World Cup of Basketball that begins in late August. Korver is just the fourth Atlanta Hawks player to play for USA Basketball joining Joe Johnson (2006 World Championships and 2006-08 Senior National Team Program), Steve Smith (1999 FIBA Americas Team) and Jason Terry (2001 Goodwill Games).
