DeMarre Carroll is not with the Atlanta Hawks in London and won't play in Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets due to personal reasons per a team release.
The Hawks left late Monday night to travel to London for Thursday's game. Pero Antic did make the trip and could return to the lineup after sitting out Sunday's game with back spasms. No word yet on whether or not John Jenkins made the trip to London but it is unlikely given his back troubles. Kyle Korver will likely slide to the small forward position with Lou Williams moving into the starting lineup to replace Carroll.
With Carroll out, James Nunnally could be in line to make his debut after signing a 10-day contract with the club this past Saturday. Nunnally was averaging 18 points per game in the D-League while with the Bakersfield Jam.
This comes at an inopportune time for the Hawks. Carroll has played well since returning from a thumb injury and is Atlanta's best wind defender. That could prove problematic on Thursday when they have to match up against Joe Johnson.
Update -
Carroll missed the trip due to the birth of his daughter
Congratulate @DeMarreCarroll1 as he will miss game in London due to birth of his daughter - welcome Lailah Amari Carroll. #ATLHawks
