DraftExpress.com has updated their latest mock draft offering and project international big man Jusuf Nurkic to the Atlanta Hawks with the No. 11 pick in the draft. Nurkic is a newcomer to our discussions and measures in at 6-11, 280 pounds. He is currently playing for Cedevita and has been a solid performer in the Adriatic League.
Foul trouble, youth and conditioning issues is what DraftExpress uses to describe the reasoning that Nurkic isn't playing more. He's averaging just over 16 minutes a game in Adriatic League play but has been among the league's top performers on a per minute basis. He's averaging 11.7 points and 5.7 rebounds while shooting at a 56 percent clip. He's still just 19 years old.
Somewhat interesting, DraftExpress has Nurkic going just behind Creighton star Doug McDermott and ahead of Willie Cauley-Stein, Clint Capella and Tyler Ennis.
