The AJC reports that former Memphis Tigers' forward Adonis Thomas has received a training camp invite from the Atlanta Hawks which brings their roster total to the 20 player maximum. Thomas left Memphis after two seasons and went undrafted. He participated on the Atlanta Hawks' entry in the Vegas Summer League where he appeared in three games.
According to the report, Thomas has been in Atlanta working out at the Hawks' practice facility over the summer. He is another small forward who checks in at 6-7, 240 lbs.
Thomas joins Damien Wilkins, Eric Dawson, Royal Ivey, David Lighty and James Johnson as non roster invitees. Atlanta currently has 14 players under contract for next season. Mike Scott and Shelvin Mack are under contract but their deals are not guaranteed.
