The Atlanta Hawks have given veterans Damien Wilkins and Royal Ivey invites to training camp.

USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly handed out training camp invites to a couple of veterans in Damien Wilkins and Royal Ivey.

The AJC reported this afternoon that Ivey had received an invite after spending last season with Philadelphia. Ivey of course began his NBA career with the Hawks after being drafted in the second round of the 2004 NBA Draft. He spent three seasons with the Hawks and has also played with Milwaukee and Oklahoma City along with his stint for the 76ers.

Real GM's Shams Charania also reports that Damien Wilkins also has received a training camp invite from the Hawks. Wilkins also spent last season in Philadelphia and I can confirm that he was at Philips Arena today working out. Wilkins spent the 2011 season with the Hawks appearing in 52 games.

Atlanta has 14 players currently under contract for next season. Eric Dawson and David Lighty have also reportedly been given training camp invites. The Hawks will hold media day festivities on September 30 with training camp beginning on October 1.
