Hawks-Centric Rumors:

Dwight Howard was part of an interesting rumor by Hoopsworld's Alex Kennedy. Alex says that Jose Calderon is a point guard that Dwight has wanted to play with and that Calderon will now wait for Howard to make up his mind before he does as well. Kennedy also reported that the Rockets had begun to discuss a sign and trade with the Pistons, acquiring Calderon for Jeremy Lin.

Meanwhile, in a related story, Jose Calderon turned down the Sacramento Kings, leading to the 3-team Tyreke Evans deal with Portland and New Orleans, per Woj!

The Sacramento Kings, unsure of wanting to match the reported 4 year, 44 million dollar offer sheet the New Orleans Pelicans are offering to the 25 year old guard, is working on a sign and trade with the Pelicans that could net them suddenly obsoleted point guard Greivis Vasquez and send Robin Lopez to the Portland Trail Blazers, according to an epic report by USA Today's Sam Amick.

Elsewhere around the league:

The Knicks strike twice, coming to terms with J.R. Smith, finalizing a 4 year, 24 million deal like the one Kyle Korver made with Hawks, according to CBS Sports' Ken Berger.

Also, the Knicks locked in restricted free agent guard Pablo Prigioni to a 3 year, 6 million dollar deal, according to multiple New York sources. Also, the last year is non-guaranteed.

Charlotte has come across with a 3 year, 41 million dollar deal with an opt out after Year 2 for Al Jefferson, according to Marc Stein. Reports yesterday were that Jefferson was looking for a 4 year, 60 million dollar deal.

San Antonio agreed to terms with Marco Belinelli for 2 years, 6 million dollars after missing out on Korver, according to Woj!

Earl Clark is going to join the Cleveland Cavaliers for 2 years, 9 million, per Sean Deveney of The Sporting News.

Denver guard Julyan Stone agreed to a 2-year deal with the Toronto Raptors, reports Y! Sports.
