Atlanta Hawks second round pick Mike Muscala confirmed via his Twitter account that he has signed with Blusens Monbus Obradoiro and will spend next season in Spain.

The Hawks drafted Muscala with the 44th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft. He appeared in five games at the Las Vegas Summer League averaging 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds.
Atlanta's frontcourt has gotten crowded recently with the recent additions of Elton Brand, Pero Antic and Gustavo Ayon. There didn't appear to be many minutes available for Muscala this season but the Hawks will retain his draft rights.
No plans have been announced for first round pick Lucas Nogueira who could also return to Spain for another season in an effort to get more meaningful time on the court. The many new additions to the frontcourt make it likely that Nogueira will also be headed back overseas next season.
Update - Here is a quote from Danny Ferry regarding Mike Muscala signing in Spain via a team press release:
"This is a great opportunity for Mike to play for a quality program in a strong league," said Hawks President of Basketball Operations/GM Danny Ferry. "We are excited to closely monitor his growth as he further prepares himself for the NBA game."
