The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly added another big piece to their frontcourt by claiming center Gustavo Ayon off of waivers from the Milwaukee Bucks.
A team source has confirmed that the Atlanta Hawks have claimed former Milwaukee Bucks center Gustavo Ayon off of waivers.

Ayon is 28 years old and listed at 6-10, 250. He spent the last two years in the NBA playing for New Orleans, Orlando and Milwaukee who placed him on waivers earlier this week. He has career averages of 4.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He is slated to make $1.5 million this season.
This move could further signal that first round pick Lucas Nogueira won't be joining the club this season. Atlanta's frontcourt is quickly getting crowded with the additions of Paul Millsap, Elton Brand, Pero Antic and now Ayon this summer in addition to the drafting of Nogueira and second round pick Mike Muscala.
UPDATE: To make cap room for Ayon, Ivan Johnson has been renounced by the club, meaning they would only be able to sign him to a vet minimum contract or use an exception to sign him.
Not confirmed is that the franchise is in hiding from Ivan after doing so.
