Lou Williams is continuing to rehab from the torn ACL that caused him to miss most of his first season with the Atlanta Hawks. Williams' is currently in Las Vegas watching Atlanta's summer league entry and HOOPSWORLD's Lang Greene caught up with him to talk about his role under new head coach Mike Budenholzer.

"I spoke to [coach]," Williams said. "He wants me to play very similar to like he had [Manu] Ginobili in San Antonio. Just come in and give a spark off the bench, create plays for everybody and play hard."

Williams started nine games for the Hawks in 2013 but has played primarily off the bench the last few seasons. Keeping Williams on the bench opens the door for John Jenkins or Kyle Korver to start at shooting guard unless Atlanta acquires another player prior to the start of the season.

Williams also told Greene that he is ramping up his rehab which now also involves running, jogging and basketball related workouts.
