Potential second round pick Dwayne Davis reportedly has a workout scheduled with six teams including the Atlanta Hawks

Who is Dwayne Davis? He is a 6-4 guard out of Southern Miss that reportedly has a draft workout scheduled with the Atlanta Hawks. Davis is a second round candidate and a possible training camp invitee should he go undrafted.

In previous seasons the Atlanta Hawks have released a schedule for draft workouts and have allowed the media to speak to the participants but that won't be the case this season. The Hawks under Danny Ferry have decided to play things close to the vest so expect it to be a little harder to figure out who Atlanta might be targeting in the June draft.

As far as Davis goes he had a great week at the Portsmouth Invitational and averaged 16.4 points on 48 percent shooting for the Golden Eagles during the 2013 season. His story is one of perseverance as he grew up homeless and was in foster care during his childhood.

With the NBA Draft a little over three weeks away expect more rumored workouts to leak out. Atlanta currently owns four picks in the upcoming draft including the No. 17 and No. 18 selections of the first round.
