Yahoo! Sports reports that sources say Danny Ferry is considering Ettore Messina for the Hawks head coaching job.

From the late night data dump comes this gem from Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski regarding Danny Ferry's latest addition to the Hawks coaching rumors:

Ettore Messina, the Italian-born coach of CSKA Moscow, is among the top candidates to replace coach Larry Drew. Ferry and Messina have had contact about the possibility, and Messina is intrigued with the chance to be a global trail blazer in the NBA, sources told Y! Sports.

Messina joins former Orlando head man Stan Van Gundy and Seattle/Portland coach Nate McMillan as rumored targets for the Atlanta Hawks GM.

Messina is a celebrated Euroleague coach with an impeccable reputation, according to Yahoo!'s report.
