With Devin Harris up and down this season with myriad injuries, it had been making sense that the Hawks, even as early as before the trade deadline, was looking for a third point guard in case of Harris or Jeff Teague not being available.
Last season's version, Jannero Pargo got two 10-day contracts and then it was Shelvin Mack's turn. When Mack's second 10-day ran out, the question would be if Mack would get a rest of season call or the Hawks would go looking for another.
Well, the choice has apparently been made, per Chris Vivlamore of the AJC:
Hawks sign G Shelvin Mack for remainder of season. #ATLHawks

Exit Question: Do you like the move to keep Mack, would you rather have seen someone else get a 10-day or keep the roster flexibility open?
