Johnson played just over 14 minutes in Friday's 104-93 home loss to Portland and finished with eight points and four rebounds. No word on whether the back spasms could affect his status for Sunday's game in Milwaukee but it is something to keep an eye on as the team heads out on the road for four straight.
The Hawks have seen their interior depth tested with the loss of Zaza Pachulia to an Achilles injury. Although undersized, Johnson may be the Hawks' most physical defender on the interior.
Johan Petro had worked his way into the rotation in place of Pachulia but he has once again disappeared recording DNP-CD's in each of the last three games.
