The Atlanta Hawks will start the week with a road/home back-to-back against the Indiana Pacers and the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. The Hawks are 2-0 against the Pacers this season but Indiana has recently hit their stride particularly at home where they carry a 13-game winning streak into Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls. Both of Atlanta's wins came at Philips Arena and the Hawks need to steal a game to have the tie breaker in what is a tight Eastern Conference.
Memphis made huge news last week as part of a three-team trade that landed Rudy Gay in Toronto in exchange for Tayshun Prince and Austin Daye. The Hawks won the earlier matchup between the two teams and are looking for a season sweep.
Atlanta is off on Thursday but back at home on Friday against the New Orleans Hornets. The Hawks defeated the Hornets 95-86 on New Years Day in New Orleans. The Hornets are currently dead last in the Western Conference with a 15-33 record and have lost four straight.
Milestone watch:
- Kyle Korver has hit a three in 40 straight games. The Hawks record is held by Mookie Blaylock with a 42 game streak.
