After a 1-1 week the Atlanta Hawks find themselves still in sixth place in the Eastern Conference Standings and 4.5 games behind the Miami Heat and New York Knicks. Atlanta started the week with a come from behind win over the Toronto Raptors. The Hawks couldn't carry the success into the weekend as they once again fell behind early and dropped a 93-76 decision to a shorthanded Chicago team.
Miami and New York are in a virtual tie at the top of the standings with the Heat just percentage points in front. Chicago is third and followed by Brooklyn and Indiana who are tied for fourth and fifth. The Hawks travel to Indiana on Tuesday. Atlanta remains one game better than the Milwaukee Bucks and interestingly have not played the Bucks yet this season.
