The Atlanta Hawks' roadshow descends on Utah where the Hawks will battle the elevation and the Jazz Wednesday night at Energy Solutions Arena. The Hawks have won three straight and four straight on the road and a win on Wednesday would improve them to 3-0 on their current six-game road trip.
Atlanta won the first meeting between the two clubs 103-95 back on January 11 at Philips Arena. However, the Jazz are a much different team at home where they are 21-7 this season. The increased altitude of Salt Lake City is tough on opposing teams and to help combat that Larry Drew had his club practice on Tuesday after arriving in Utah.
Zaza Pachulia was a full participant in Tuesday's practice but likely won't have his status determined until the team's shootaround on Wednesday. Pachulia sat out Monday's win in Detroit with a sore Achilles that has plagued him since before the All-Star break. The Hawks could definitely use Pachulia as they go up against Utah's front line that consists of Al Jefferson and Paul Milsap as well as Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors off the bench.
Former Hawks small forward Marvin Williams is expected to start for the Jazz Wednesday night and it will be the first time that he has faced Atlanta since the offseason trade that sent him to Utah. Williams sat out the first meeting with an injury. Williams is averaging a career-worst 8.1 points per game this season.
