The Atlanta Hawks begin a six-game road trip Saturday night in Milwaukee where ironically they very nearly traded Josh Smith to prior to Thursday's trade deadline. Saturday's game will be the first of four meetings between the two clubs this season so they will be seeing a lot of each other over the last part of the regular season.
If the Hawks are going to get their trip off to a good start then they are going to have to find a way to be much more focused defensively than they were on Friday night. Atlanta defeated Sacramento in a shootout 122-108 and allowed 61 points in the first half to the Kings before finding their way in the second half.
One of the more intriguing matchups will be at the point guard position where Jeff Teague will be matched up against Brandon Jennings. Teague finished with 20 points and 12 assists against the Kings and has been a catalyst for the Hawks over the last few weeks.
Jennings is averaging 18.4 points and 5.9 assists per game this season but is shooting just 40 percent from the field this season. Jennings averaged over 23 points per game and nine assists in the three meetings with Atlanta last season.
