Hoopsworld writer Alex Kennedy is reporting that the Hawks could be interested in San Antonio Spurs forward DeJuan Blair and could deal for him if they move Josh Smith prior to the 3 p.m. deadline.
The Hawks have emerged as possible suitor for DeJuan Blair. Source says Blair may go to ATL after a Josh Smith deal: tinyurl.com/bxro94g

The Spurs have been shopping Blair for some time with no takers. Blair's contract expires at the end of the season and there is no word what the Hawks could be thinking of sending back to San Antonio in return. Blair has fallen out of favor with the Spurs and has played sparingly appearing in 41 games while averaging 13.6 minutes per contest.
The deal is likely contingent on the Hawks moving Smith which doesn't feel to be as certain as it was this morning. The clock is ticking and if things are going to happen it will have to be fast.
