According to a report by Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks are frontrunners to land Josh Smith in advance of Thursday's 3 p.m. deadline for trades. We discussed the Bucks scenario a little earlierbut Phoenix is somewhat of a surprise as once being mentioned.
Milwaukee, Phoenix emerging as frontrunners for Josh Smith deal, league sources tell Y! Sports. Boston still a "darkhorse," one source says.

Interestingly, Wojnarowski says that a league source mentioned Boston as a darkhorse on the Smith front as well. There is no details on what Phoenix might be offering the Hawks in exchange for Smith but Marcin Gortat could be a great fit and would enable the Hawks to move Al Horford to the power forward position.
Gortat is on the books for $7.7 million next season. Phoenix also possesses a variety of picks as well as Jared Dudley or a number of young players that could be included in the deal.
