The Atlanta Hawks closed out the first half of the NBA season with a 108-76 blowout win over the Orlando Magic. The Hawks will head into the All-Star break having won their last two road games and with a 29-22 record.

Atlanta jumped out to a 25-19 lead after one but blew the game wide open in the second quarter. The Hawks outscored the Magic 33-17 in the second period and extended their lead to 57-36 at the half. Atlanta built their lead by hammering away at the Magic on the glass where they finished with a 54-41 advantage including 17 on the offensive end.

Josh Smith continued his torrid stretch finishing with 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Smith was a red hot 13-20 from the field and 2-3 from beyond-the-arc. The only negative to Smith's game was his 2-7 mark from the free throw line. Al Horford had a double-double at halftime and finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. John Jenkins scored nine points off the bench while Jeff Teague finished with seven points and 11 assists.

Jameer Nelson and Andrew Nicholson led the way for the Magic with 10 points each. E'Twaun Moore and Arron Afflalo added nine points each.

Atlanta led by as many as 38 points in the second half and continued their recent domination of the Magic as they notched their ninth straight victory in the series.

Atlanta will now utilize the All-Star break as a time to heal up some nagging injuries and refocus for the second half. Jeff Teague is the only player that will be heading to Houston to take part in the skills challenge on Saturday night. Atlanta will be back in action on February 20 when they return home to take on the Miami Heat.
