John Jenkins continues to battle a lower back injury that is causing him pain in his leg but won't have surgery at least in the short term. Jenkins will continue to rest and receive therapy on his back per a report from the AJC's Chris Vivlamore.
Jenkins initially suffered the injury over the summer and then was forced to miss most of training camp. It put him behind and he has played sparingly since the regular season started.
Jenkins has apparently grown tired of the situation and indicated that he and his agent along with Ferry would formulate a plan going forward.
Jenkins appeared in 61 games as a rookie averaging 6.1 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field. He has been limited to just 13 games this season and his shooting percentage and scoring average has tumbled to 38 percent and 3.1 points per game.
