The Atlanta Hawks completed a thrilling comeback Saturday night against the Charlotte Bobcats and look to keep rolling when they take on the Orlando Magic on Sunday. Atlanta played for the first time on Saturday since learning that Al Horford is likely lost for the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
Atlanta has won two in a row and seven of ten in large part due to an offense that has been rolling. Atlanta has scored at least 100 points in all but one game in December and have scored at least 118 points in each of their last five games.
Fatigue could be a factor on Sunday for the Hawks who have needed overtime in each of the last three games.
Orlando is 9-20 on the season but coming off of a 109-92 defeat of the Detroit Pistons on Friday. Arron Afflalo scored 23 points while Nikola Vucevic logged a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Despite the win, Orlando has won just three times in their last 10 games and are 6-9 at home this season.
Atlanta and Orlando split a pair of meetings in November at Philips Arena. Atlanta took the first 104-94 as Jeff Teague led six Hawks players in double figures with 19 points and 13 assists. Orlando took the second matchup 109-92 behind 26 points from Afflalo and 18 points from rookie Victor Oladipo. The two teams will meet one more time in January.
Atlanta's Kyle Korver has connected on a three-pointer in 99 straight games and will look to make it an even 100 against the Magic. So far this season, Korver is shooting 50 percent from three point range. He has gone just 3-11 in two meetings with the Magic.
