Hawks vs Cavaliers final score: Jeff Teague's buzzer beater wins it for Atlanta in double overtime

Jeff Teague finished with a career-high 34 points including a game-tying three pointer at the end of regulation and the game-winner in double overtime to help the Atlanta Hawks escape with a 127-125 win.

The Atlanta Hawks overcame injury and an offensive explosion by Kyrie Irving to survive in double overtime with a 127-125 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Hawks lost DeMarre Carroll in the fourth quarter and Al Horford in the first overtime to injury but it was Jeff Teague who stepped up and led them to victory.

Teague was magnificent finishing with a career-best 34 points to go along with 14 assists. He tied the game at the end of regulation and won it at the buzzer in double overtime with a pull up jumper that touched every part of the rim before falling. Teague hit 14-24 shots and waged a personal battle with Kyrie Irving down the stretch and in overtime.

Horford scored 25 points before leaving with a shoulder injury while Paul Millsap and Kyle Korver added 20 points each. Millsap scored eight of his 20 in the first overtime while Kyle Korver hit two big threes including a four-point play when the Hawks were down five in the second overtime. Shelvin Mack played 35 minutes off the bench and finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Irving was amazing as well down the stretch. He singlehandedly put Cleveland up five to start the second overtime with a three and then a steal and lay in against Teague. Irving finished with a game-high 40 points and nine assists but was saddled with six turnovers including a very costly one late in the second overtime period.

Tristan Thompson added 22 points for the Cavaliers while Dion Waiters pitched in 20 off the bench. Anderson Varejao finished with eight points and a game-high 17 rebounds.

Atlanta has now won four of five and improve to 16-13 on the season.
