The Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic took turns in a game of runs but it was Atlanta that dealt the final blow in a 104-94 win. A late 10-0 run by the Hawks turned a one point deficit into a nine point lead with Jeff Teague sealing the victory from the free throw line.

Atlanta's offensive game is getting better each night out as they become more accustomed to Mike Budenholzer's system. The Hawks hit 48 percent of their field goal attempts against the Magic who came into the game second in field goal percentage defense. Atlanta recorded assists on 36-of-43 made baskets and turned the ball over just 13 times in the game.

Budenholzer's offense has had a profound effect on Jeff Teague who not only is scoring well but is turning into quite a playmaker. Teague finished with another double-double with 19 points and 13 assists.

Paul Millsap and Al Horford continued their fine play as well. Millsap logged his third straight double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Horford added 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Kyle Korver extended his consecutive games streak with a made three to 79 in the second quarter and finished with 14. DeMarre Carroll fueled a big third quarter Atlanta run with a pair of triples and finished with 12.

Atlanta's bench has struggled at times this season but Mike Scott gave them a nice lift offensively against the Magic. Scott scored 17 points in 14 minutes while going 7-for-11 from the field. Dennis Schröder had a tough night in his return from a one-game suspension going scoreless on 0-for-8 shooting and just one assist. Gustavo Ayon was active for the Hawks for the first time this season but did not get into the game.

The game was one of the Hawks' best defensive efforts of the young season. Arron Afflalo led the Magic with 21 points  but Al Horford and Pero Antic did a great job of holding center Nikola Vucevic in check. Vucevic came into the game averaging over 17 points and 13 rebounds but finished the game with just seven points and six rebounds in 34 minutes. The Magic hit 46 percent of their field goal attempts but Atlanta made the most of 18 Orlando turnovers.

The Hawks will enjoy an off day on Sunday before heading North to take on the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday.
