The Atlanta Hawks wrap up a four games in five nights stretch on Saturday when they take on the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center. Washington is 7-9 and coming off a lopsided 93-73 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday. Atlanta is 9-8 and snapped a three-game losing streak by coming back from 17 down to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 88-87 at Philips Arena.
From the looks of things neither team will be at full strength. Washington will be without Bradley Beal who is out with a leg injury and could be without Nene who is battling a sore Achilles. Nene missed Friday's game and seems unlikely to play on Saturday. The Hawks will be without Lou Williams who is still on a back-to-back restriction since returning from ACL surgery. Kyle Korver has missed two straight with a bruised rib and his status for Saturday's game will be determined closer to tip off.
Both the Hawks and the Wizards are similar in that it is their point guards that drive their attack. Atlanta is 8-2 on the season when Jeff Teague scores at least 16 points. He helped fuel Saturday's comeback against the Mavs finishing with 25 points and six assists. Teague is averaging a team-best 17.4 points and 8.3 assists on the season.
Wall is off to a similarly good start to the season and is averaging 21.3 points at home this season. He is coming off of a subpar performance against Indiana's stingy defense finishing with eight points on 4-14 shooting.
