The Atlanta Hawks come into Saturday's game with the Boston Celtics feeling pretty good about themselves after a home-and-home sweep over the Detroit Pistons. The Hawks are 8-5 and have a chance to add to the woes of the Celtics who are trying to avoid a seventh straight loss.
Atlanta defeated Detroit on Friday night thanks in large part to another good performance from Jeff Teague who finished with 18 points and nine assists. Teague has answered all of his critics thus far and is playing with a ton of confidence and is helping to fuel the Hawks success.
When they face the Celtics Saturday night it will be the same familiar green uniforms but the team will have a much different look. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are in Brooklyn, Rajon Rondo is still recovering from a knee injury while Jeff Green and company are trying to hold everything together. They come in having lost six straight including a 97-82 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday. Boston took a 50-42 lead into halftime against Indiana but was then outscored 25-8 in the third quarter.
