2013 NBA Standings: Eastern Conference muddled behind Pacers

At 3-3 on the season, the Atlanta Hawks are in a jumpled mess in the Eastern Conference standings behind the undefeated Indiana Pacers.

The Indiana Pacers are off to an undefeated start and are already threatening to leave the rest of the Eastern Conference behind.

The Pacers lead the NBA with their 7-0 mark. The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers(!) are 4-3. The rest of the conference, including the Atlanta Hawks, is either at .500 or below.

Atlanta just wrapped up a three-game western swing in which they went 1-2 with a pair of two-point losses. They open the first of four straight against the Eastern Conference this week on Monday in Charlotte. They are back home on Wednesday against the Knicks on ESPN. Atlanta begins a home/road back-to-back on Friday against Philadelphia and wraps things up on Saturday in New York with a rematch against the Knicks.
