Forward Eric Dawson lasted until Sunday with the Atlanta Hawks before being cut as the team got down to the league maximum of 15 players before Monday's deadline. Dawson will now reportedly head back to the NBA D-League' Austin Toros where he will try to earn an NBA call-up.

Dawson is very familiar with the Toros having spent parts of five seasons with the club. His best season came in 2012 when he averaged 17.2 points and 10.6 rebounds to earn a call-up with the Spurs. Dawson appeared in three preseason games for the Hawks averaging 3.0 points and 4.0 rebounds.

David Lighty was one of the first cuts made by the Hawks during the preseason and he is likely headed back to France to play for JSF Nanterre per a report.

Lighty spent the 2013 season with JSF Nanterre and helped lead them to the Pro A title. He averaged 12.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists with the club.
