Al Horford didn't travel with the team to Dallas Tuesday night and won't play in Wednesday's preseason finale due to a sore hamstring. The AJC reports that Horford's hamstring issue has been "lingering" and he will rest tomorrow in hope of being 100 percent when the season opens next Wednesday.

Horford started at power forward on Tuesday and finished with 12 points and seven rebounds on 6-14 shooting. Paul Millsap sat out Tuesday's game with a sore Achilles and will also not play on Wednesday against the Mavericks.

With Millsap and Horford sidelined, Elton Brand and Mike Scott are the likely starters at the center and power forward positions. Pero Antic is another option, as is training camp invite Eric Dawson who is still on the roster but has not played in the last four preseason games.
