After sitting out the season opener, Lucas Nogueira returned to action on Saturday in an 80-66 win over BdR Valladolid. Nogueira started at center playing 28 minutes while finishing with 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting. Nogueira also grabbed six rebounds and blocked two shots. He was one of five players to score in double figures for Estudiantes.
Estudiantes is now 1-1 on the season and will take on Laboral Kutxa Vitoria on Sunday, October 27. Laboral Kutxa is 0-2 but features former NBA Draft pick Tibor Pleiss and NBA veteran Andres Nocioni.
Mike Muscala was also in action on Friday as Blusens Monbus fell to La Bruixa d'Or 88-71. Muscala went 6-for-14 while scoring a team-high 16 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists. Muscala has led Blusens Monbus in scoring in each of the first two games.
Blusens Monbus is now 0-2 on the season and will take on CAI Zaragoza on Saturday, Oct 26.
