Dennis Schröder sat out Thursday's preseason game against the San Antonio Spurs with a sore knee. Schröder reportedly suffered the injury during a recent practice.

Schröder also missed Sunday's game against the Pelicans but its unknown if that was related to his knee. From the sounds of things it isn't serious but bears watching over the rest of the preseason schedule.
The injury has afforded the Hawks the opportunity to get more of a look at Shelvin Mack and Royal Ivey who are competing for a roster spot as the third point guard. Mack played just under 14 minutes against the Spurs finishing with two points and two assists on 1-3 shooting. Royal Ivey didn't get into the game as Mike Budenholzer elected to shorten his rotation.
