Roster cuts coming

The Atlanta Hawks carried a full 20 man roster through the first three preseason games but figure to trim the roster somewhat before Thursday's home preseason opener. Candidates for the first cuts include David Lighty, Eric Dawson and Adonis Thomas who have all played sparingly over the first three contests.

Damien Wilkins started at small forward on Sunday but was a non factor and is another cut possibility. He is competing with James Johnson for a likely roster spot as a backup wing. Royal Ivey continues to battle Shelvin Mack for the third point guard spot.
